The Development Of Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Technology

By Dorothy Lee

When it comes to EFT, there are many positive aspects for individuals using this alternative healing process. One of these aspects is related to individuals using Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Technology devices. While EFT is a process which uses an ongoing series of tapping patterns, the tapping can either be self-imposed or provided through use of a special device. In most cases, either of these options will provide some relief whether used on humans or animals.

Originally adopted as a healing system for humans, approval for healing animals only took effect more recently. Once approved, veterinarians began using a version of EFT known as PEMF to heal race horses suffering broken bones or other injuries. After much success with regards to treating broken bones in animals, many working in Sports medicine began treating athletes.

There are also now commercial devices available which provide a similar type treatment. In most cases, these units are adjustable when it comes to the pulse and speed of the electrical current. In fact, a number of these items are now sold at various medical offices, drug stores and shopping mall kiosks around the world. While this allows more flexibility in obtaining these items, it also allows for more risks when it comes to safety. As such, most of these establishments require those purchasing these items to be over the age of 18.

The FDA recently approved these devices for use in surgical operations. In most cases, these surgeries are related to spinal issues such as stenosis and sciatica. Although, this type treatment has also seen a great deal of success with regards to emotional and psychological well being as well as physical. As a result, the process and associated devices have seen success in a number of different areas in the medical field.

As some healing devices carry classifications similar to drugs, there are some EFT oriented devices which still require a prescription. In addition, any item promoting potential health benefits must also be approved by the FDA. As a result, while the FDA changed the classification of these type devices from a Class 1 to a Class 2 in 2015, those not available on the open market still often require medical approval.

One reason this is the case is due to electrical currents used in this type healing. If not careful, these devices can often cause great damage to nerves. In other cases, anyone under the age of twelve (12, ) or whom has limited knowledge of electrical currents need always be supervised during treatment. The devices and processes have come a long way since the research and development phase. At that time, these devices consisted of a Helmholtz coil in which the entire body was placed inside a magnetic healing field. In most cases, this older process was far more dangerous and provided less safety with regards to potential side effects.

Today, there are several different options for implementing this type treatment. For example, one can go to an energy healer or massage therapist who practices EFT. Other forms of implementation include using a personal device, or opting to join a gym which provides an electrical coil based healing booth with electromagnetic waves. Ultimately, it is up to each individual to discover the EFT method which works best for various illnesses and conditions.

While most devices associated with EFT or manufactured outside the U. S., all are generally marketed as personal use items. Whether that be an electric yoga mat, a personal massager or other item. As such, those looking to purchase these items may want to search a number of different online stores when looking to obtain a device associated with this healing method.
